See What We've Done
04:45
|
|
||
Oh my soul! Oh Lord Jesus,
Judas sold you for silver.
I neglect you for less.
Oh my soul! You, my Savior,
Felt the kiss of betrayal
From the lips of a friend.
Oh my God, see what we've done
Your Son, Jesus, betrayed.
Oh my God, see what we've done
Your Son, Jesus, denied.
Oh my God, see what we've done
Your Son Jesus, destroyed.
Oh my soul! Oh my Savior,
Three times Peter denied you,
Fearing man more than God.
Oh my Lord! When they mock you
I say, "I do not know him",
And try to prove that I don't.
Oh my soul! Oh Lord Jesus,
You were crushed and destroyed with
The weight of sin and our guilt.
Oh my soul! Oh my Savior,
You accomplished salvation.
"It is finished" for all.

Stricken, smitten, and afflicted,
See Him dying on the tree!
’Tis the Christ by man rejected;
Yes, my soul, ’tis He, ’tis He!
’Tis the long expected prophet,
David’s Son, yet David’s Lord;
By his Son, God now has spoken
’Tis the true and faithful Word.
Tell me, ye who hear Him groaning,
Was there ever grief like His?
Friends through fear His cause disowning,
Foes insulting his distress:
Many hands were raised to wound Him,
None would interpose to save;
But the deepest stroke that pierced Him
Was the stroke that Justice gave.
Ye who think of sin but lightly,
Nor suppose the evil great,
Here may view its nature rightly,
Here its guilt may estimate.
Mark the Sacrificed appointed!
See Who bears the awful load!
’Tis the Word, the Lord’s Anointed,
Son of Man, and Son of God.
Here we have a firm foundation,
Here the refuge of the lost.
Christ the Rock of our salvation,
His the Name of which we boast.
Lamb of God for sinners wounded!
Sacrifice to cancel guilt!
None shall ever be confounded
Who on Him their hope have built.

Psalm 77
03:17
|
|
||
I cry aloud to God
And he will hear my call.
When troubles surround
I seek the Lord
My soul will not rest,
I seek God and moan;
And when I meditate
My spirit faints.

Micah 7
04:47
|
|
||
What misery is mine?
The fruit that I desire
Does not remain.
The upright man is gone
And those who love your name
Can not be found.
But I will wait for God
And His forgiveness will
Hear my cry.
Who is a God like you,
Who tramples on our sins?
Who is a God like you,
Who’s anger will not last?
He will delight to show
The love He swore to us long ago.
I've sinned and I should bear
The indignation of
The LORD my God.
But Christ has plead my cause,
And He will satisfy
The debt I owe.
He’ll bring me to the light
And then I shall be free
To bless His name.

At Last - Far Off
05:24

Lyrics by Tennyson In Memoriam A.H.H
Be near me when my light is low,
When the blood creeps, and the nerves prick
And tingle; and the heart is sick,
And all the wheels of Being, slow.
Be near me when the sensuous frame
Is Life, a Fury slinging flame.
But what of that? My darken'd ways
Shall ring with music all the same;
To breathe my loss is more than fame,
To utter love more sweet than praise.
Behold, we know not anything;
I can but trust that good shall fall
At last―far off―at last, to all,
And every winter change to spring.
Forgive what seem'd my sin in me;
What seem'd my worth since I began;
For merit lives from man to man,
And not from man, O Lord, to thee.
Ring out the want, the care, the sin,
The faithless coldness of the times;
Ring out, ring out my mournful rhymes,
But ring the fuller minstrel in.
Ring in the valiant man and free,
The larger heart, the kindlier hand;
Ring out the darkness of the land,
Ring in the Christ that is to be.
